The 26th Australian Computers in Education Conference (ACEC) will be held on 30 September – 3 October 2014 at the Adelaide Convention Centre. 

The theme  “Now It’s Personal” is about you and your learning.

You will connect, collaborate and co-construct new ideas as part of formal and informal learning conversations before, during and after the conference. alec1webDr. Alec Couros, is Professor of educational technology and media at the Faculty of Education, University of Regina. Alec is an experienced and captivating presenter who has given hundreds of workshops and presentations, nationally and internationally, on topics such as openness in education, networked learning, social media in education, digital citizenship, and critical media literacy. Kathy1webKathy Schrock is one of the most well-known names in education and technology. She has been a school district Director of Technology, an instructional technology specialist, a middle school teacher, academic, museum and public library librarian, and is currently an online adjunct graduate-level professor at two universities. Kathy has been involved with technology to support teaching and learning since the early 1990’s and is an Adobe Education Leader, a Google Certified Teacher, a Discovery Education STAR, and a DEN Guru. In addition to teaching online, Kathy writes, speaks, blogs, tweets, and conducts professional development workshops and presentations. She is renown for her inspiring practical presentations dealing with pedagogically sound practices for the embedding of technology seamlessly into teaching and learning. Read more about Kathy Schrock

Professor Toni Downes has worked with universities, educational systems and schools, for nearly 30 years in the pursuit of improving educational outcomes through her scholarship in the effective use of digital technologies and her leadership in teacher education and her commitment to social justice and Indigenous Reconciliation.
