This full day Python workshop is intended for teachers with little to no programming experience who wish to learn the basics of programming. Those with programming experience in another language may also find it useful as a way of learning the Python language. This is an introduction to programming course where I will cover the following:
- Input and output
- Variables
- Sequence
- Selection (IF Statements)
- Repetition (WHILE and FOR loops)
All recipients will receive an “Introduction to Programming with Python” booklet as well as practice exercises and task sheets teachers could use in the classroom. If there is a good response to these workshops I will follow up with an Intermediate and Advanced course at a later date which would cover function, global variables and creating user interfaces/apps
