Participatory media have remarkably transformed the manner in which individuals and groups not only consume media and information, but in the way we collectively create, remix, and share creative works through social networks. But, is this same sort of transformation happening within our schools? This presentation will describe the most relevant changes in our media landscape and how new technological affordances have the potential to transform our schools into networked learning communities, directly supporting the learning needs of every teacher & student.
