Panel Discussion: 2011 SACE Stage 2 Information Technology Assessment

 

Date: Thursday 17 March

Time: 4.30 – 6.00pm

Venue: Flinders University School of Education,  Flinders University, Education Building, Room 3.18.  The door to this room is outside the building to the right of the main entrance.  You are advised to park in Carparks 2 or 3 and purchase a Day Parking Permit from a ticket machine for $5 (otherwise you WILL receive an infringement notice).

This event will also be hosted online using Adobe Connect.  Online participants will be able to log in from 3.30 to test their equipment.  Details of how to log in will be sent to all those registered for the online session.  There are a maximum of 12 connections for online participants.

Audience: Teachers of SACE Stage 1 and 2 Information Technology

Cost: CEGSA members free, CEGSA non-members $25.  Please note that late payments ie, payments made after the date of the workshop, may attract a $10 administration fee.

CEGSA is delighted to host this meeting where a panel of experienced teachers, including SACE Board Curriculum and Moderation Officer Campbell Menzies, will discuss the 2011 Stage 2 Information Technology assessment processes, and how these are changed from 2010.

Topics for discussion will include:

  • the 2011 examination paper structure;
  • what might be on the 2 handwritten A4 sheets of paper that students may take into the examination, and what this could imply for the examination structure;
  • summative assessment tasks.

 

You can attend this meeting in person or online.

If you are attending online, you will need a fast internet connection, and a headset with a microphone.  Information about what you need to do before the session to get ready, will be sent to your nominated email address in plenty of time before the meeting.
