Biography:
Daniel Sih is the award-winning author of Spacemaker: how to unplug, unwind and think clearly in the digital age, winner of the Best Personal Development Book in the Australian Business Book Awards 2021, and Best Science and Technology Book in the Royal Dragonfly Book Awards 2022.
Daniel is passionate about helping busy people make space in the whirlwind of life by shifting their digital habits. He has given his first TEDx talk in Hobart in February 2023.
His latest book, Raising Tech-Healthy Humans: how to reset your children’s habits and give them a great start to life, is a positive guidebook to help parents and educators establish healthy tech and non-tech habits for children and pre-teens.
Daniel lives in Hobart with his family and loves mountain biking in the Tassie bush.

Biography:
Nick is the Deputy Head of the School of computer science. Nick teaches Computer Science at the University of Adelaide as well as application across the curriculum.
He is particularly interested in innovative assessment mechanisms that encourage personal development, rather than rote-learning. He makes extensive use of new and innovative technologies because once established that they are actually of benefit to all concerned! His research interests include improving student engagement and retention, with an additional goal of developing professional skills, including problem solving abilities and the importance of a consistent ethical framework.

Biography:
Anna Hodge is the Manager, Education and Training at Adelaide based Rising Sun Pictures. She has worked in secondary and tertiary education in the digital, creative arts sector for close to 30 years.
Her current role includes developing junior talent for the growing visual effects industry through RSP’s highly sucessful training partnership with the University of South Australia and also internal staff training.
Anna has experience in developing, managing and growing educational initiatives in the digital media area to reflect the changing and diversifying industry, education and training market. She has a proven record in securing both training and employment opportunities for students with a focus on building strong and secure partnerships between higher education and industry for the purpose of developing job-ready VFX graduates.

Luke, also well known as Mr. Luke online, is a primary school teacher based in Adelaide, South Australia with almost 10 years of experience in the classroom. He has gained popularity through his presence on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, with well over a million followers. As a teacher, he uses these platforms to showcase his passion for education and to provide engaging and entertaining content for his followers. Using these channels to connect to a worldwide audience to promote education and share his stories about what happens in his classroom with his tiny humans, Luke believes educators can use social media to create positive change.
