We thought we would share the latest news from ACARA about the Technologies Consultation Paper sent from the ACCE Board last night.
ACARA has completed the consultation phase and has subsequently released two documents that may be of interest:
1. Draft Shape of the Australian Curriculum: Technologies Consultation Report
Consultation on the Draft Shape of the Australian Curriculum: Technologies was held between March and June 2012. ACARA received over 240 responses nationally to the online questionnaire and 42 written submissions. ACARA reports high levels of support (over 79% approval in survey responses) for the directions proposed in the draft Shape of the Australian Curriculum: Technologies paper. 2. Shape of the Australian Curriculum: Technologies paper
The Shape of the Australian Curriculum: Technologies sets the broad direction for writing the Australian Curriculum for Technologies. This paper incorporates the feedback received from teachers, academics, professional teachers’ associations, education authorities and the Technologies industry and community. Writers and advisory group members were appointed in July for the writing phase. The Technologies paper can be accessed via this link
