Do you want to be a leader in Digital Technologies education?

EdTechSA and ACCE are sponsoring 25 South Australian teachers to become Australian Digital Technologies Leaders.

ADT Leaders are invited to attend a workshop at Pulteney Grammar School, 190 South Terrace, Adelaide, on Saturday 12 April 2014 from 9am to 3pm, to explore the Digital Technologies subject of the Australian Curriculum and approaches to teaching the subject.

This is a unique opportunity to work with both Dr Jason Zagami from Griffith University and Bruce Fuda from the ACT, as they guide you through Digital Technologies and assist you to develop a unit of work.

Following the workshop, there will also be an online meeting, via Google Hangout, on Monday 28 April, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm to further develop and share your unit of work, and gain feedback to further improve it. During the workshop and hangout, we will be recording the process to enable other teachers to see how you can unpack the curriculum and develop units.

As you trial and modify your unit as part of your teaching practice, it is our hope you will video/record your own progress to support our ultimate aim of creating a national guide for teachers, detailing how they can best approach the teaching of Digital Technologies. Your unit of work will be finalised by Monday 23 June 2014.

Hopefully you will also be attending the Australian Computers in Education Conference being held in Adelaide, 30 September – 3 October 2014 and there will be further opportunities to present your achievement.

To accept your invitation to lead the field in the teaching of Digital Technologies, please complete the application form below and share your vision for this exciting new challenge, by Wednesday 2 April 2014.

Remember, this offer is restricted to 25 applicants!

This event is free of charge for EdTechSA individual or organisational members due to funding provided by the Australian Council for Computers in Education (ACCE).

Following your application, expressions of interest will be reviewed, and successful applicants will be notified by Monday 7 April 2014.
