The 2017 EdTechSA Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 30 March at 6pm at the Education Development Centre, Milner St Hindmarsh, Room 1.11B
It will be an opportunity to recognise the important contributions made to our organisation through the presentation of the EdTechSA awards. We have great pleasure in presenting the 2016 EdTechSA Leader of the Year Award, the 2016 EdTechSA Educator of the Year Award and the EdTechSA/ISTE Making IT Happen award
Our special guest speakers are Professor Katrina Falkner and Paula Christophersen.
Professor Katrina Falkner: Digital technologies – where are we?
Digital Technologies has taken off across Australia, with interest from teachers and schools growing in response to state and territory curriculum approvals. In this talk, we will provide an update on the CSER Digital Technologies program, discussing trends and insights into what Australian teachers, with a focus on SA, are asking for when it comes to Digital Technologies support. We will also explore which aspects of the curriculum teachers are showing particular interest in, and those areas that perhaps need further support. We will share our own goals for the coming year, and invite discussion on how we can work together as a community.

If you are seeking ways to expand your professional network and develop your leadership capabilities, the Annual General Meeting is the opportunity to join the Management Committee. We welcome new, dynamic individuals who are passionate about learning with, and about educational technology. You don’t have to be an expert, just have the enthusiasm and dedication to work collaboratively with a diverse group.

Proposed changes to the EdTechSA inc Constitution
At the Annual General Meeting, we will be voting on the proposal to update the current “EdTechSA inc Constitution (2013)” to the “EdTechSA inc Rules of Association (2017)”. All members are invited to consider this important proposal. The voting form will be available at the AGM.
