The EdTechSA Leading Light award aims to recognise those within the EdTechSA community who provide inspiration to others in supporting the subject of IT and the use of ICT.
Candidates for the Award must be individual members of EdTechSA.
An EdTechSA leading light may be a teacher, pre-service teacher or technician, who has clearly made a valuable contribution to the IT / ICT community. However, they may not have had the opportunity to demonstrate their achievement of all of the selection criteria for the EdTechSA Educator of the Year or EdTechSA Leader of the Year awards.
Criteria for Selection
The candidate has demonstrated:
- Significant positive impact on technology use in education in their local context.
- Active contribution to the EdTechSA community in ways that are consistent with EdTechSA mission and purpose.
