STEM meets LEGO with Junior LEGO League
28 May, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
First Lego League Junior is a STEM enrichment program aimed at Year 1 to 4 students. Currently over 68, 000 students world wide have been part of this program which is the younger sibling of the First Lego League program that uses EV3 robots. So far, only Prospect North Primary School in SA has been involved and we are looking to expand and have other schools involved. Essentially Junior Lego League involves student teams of up to 6 students who use a themed Lego Education kit and Lego WeDo to explore a real life issue. The program is low cost, utilises Lego in a STEM setting and is well supported with top notch resources. This workshop will inform you about the program, give you a chance to build and learn with the Lego kits in conjunction with Lego WeDo and imagine the possibilities for expanding your STEM opportunities for your middle primary students.
