Workshop for Teachers – EdTechSA invites teachers to join us!

Understanding the Digital Technologies subject through Student Experience

Friday, July 22 – 9am – 1.00pm

Come along and find out about the Digital Technologies subjects, building students’ computational thinking and capturing student evidence.

We will look at Version 9.0 in the Australian Curriculum (R-10) and ponder how to differentiate this engaging subject across year levels and abilities. No experience is required.

Sessions include:

– Computational Thinking

– Capturing Student Evidence

– Strategies for differentiation

– Get hands-on with Technologies unplugged & plugged

– ACARA Version 9.0 Digital Technologies – what has changed

– Stage 1 and 2 SACE teachers are invited to join for an information, moderation and networking session with Fiona Clayton

Educators attending the workshop only, do not have to be practicing teachers.

Optional – Educators attending this workshop are invited to pop in and observe the student workshops being held on Thu 21st July 9am-12:30pm at Naracoorte Primary School to see the Digital Technologies Subject in action. See how the EdTechSA committee members introduce students to hands-on Digital Technologies tools and lead them through problem-solving and creative stages of digital thinking. While these workshops are targeted at childen we are inviting educators to come along and learn side by side with the students in order to make connections between the adult workshop content and student experiences.
