About These workshops are designed to assist preparation and revision for the end of year Examination. Students will work with expert subject teachers in a workshop situation and gain insight and practice in answering past exam and new unseen questions. They reinforce their knowledge, improve their confidence and increase their ability to dissect questions. Teachers are invited to attend with their students, or make this part of their Professional Learning especially if they plan to teach Information Technology in 2015.
Programme and Times Thursday 9 October, 8.30am to 4.30pm : Core topics – Computer Systems and Information Systems.
Friday 10 October, 9am and 3.00pm : Option Topics – Application Programming, Relational Databases, Website Programming, Multimedia Programming, Dynamic Websites.
Students select two individual sessions for their option topics.
Cost Two Day Registration by the end of term 3 2014: $150.
Especially for teachers A panel clarification discussion for teachers attending is offered late Thursday afternoon to allow for greater discussion and exploration of tasks and resources. This can extend into informal networking over a drink or even a light meal.
Notes No catering is included in the cost of the workshops. There are numerous cafes a short walk from the school, or attendees are welcome to bring their own food.
